This site also incorporates sections of Motorcycle Touring in Europe From the list of articles below, you will see that there are two kinds of articles on this site: general or technique articles, about the 'how' of semi-adventurous travel, and articles about places, the 'where'. The second kind is again divided in two: countries and regions, and trans-national subjects such as spas, Tibet-in-exile and the like. The 'how' articles contain a lot information you won't easily find anywhere else, but the 'where' articles should be useful too, especially if you are a motorcyclist: many of the initial country-by-country entries were lifted verbatim and unillustrated (but increasingly updated) from Motorcycle Touring in Europe (McTiE). Under the 'Countries and Regions' headings, the origins of articles are given as PS (Photo School), McTiE (Motorcycle Touring in Europe) or SAT (Semi-Adventurous Traveller). There's also a short story called Elysian Fields, about an imaginary race a few years ago on the Champs Elysées in Paris. I take no responsibility if anyone decides to try it... Return to the Semi-Adventurous Traveler home page or read the Introduction to this forum or our statement on honesty, accuracy and errors. Otherwise -- pick an article! |
